What Rapu is for

Most firms sell you a tool, or a person.

Rapu assembles the team. Forensic examiners, data engineers, review leads and project managers who can face counsel — scoped, staffed and run end to end, under one accountable lead.

That is the work we exist for: matters too large, too regulated or too contested for a single consultant, where the answer has to be defensible months later in front of someone who would rather it were not.

Regulatory

Governance that survives inspection

Data inventories, records of processing, retention and subject access — built on how your systems actually work, then remediated rather than merely reported.

More

Investigative

Evidence that holds up

Internal investigations, disputes, insolvency and asset tracing, forensic acquisition and expert reporting. Documented on the assumption someone hostile will read the file.

More

Big data

Discovery at volume

Collection, processing, culling, review management and production — sized to the matter, across jurisdictions, in languages that defeat naive throughput assumptions.

How we work

Method matters more than tooling

One team, one accountability

Scoped, staffed and run by Rapu. Not subcontracted onward and not handed between departments while the deadline moves.

We build what is missing

Bespoke tooling, ingestion pipelines and review workflows when off-the-shelf will not do — software engineering in service of the matter, not as a product pitch.

AI where it is evidenced

We use machine learning where it demonstrably cuts review volume or surfaces what manual review misses, and we can show you the numbers. We do not use it where it cannot be defended.

Founded 2017

Built on two decades of doing the work

Rapu was founded by Duncan Gardiner, who has led forensic and eDiscovery teams in London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong across banking, insurance, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, mining and manufacturing.
